Paris New so intricately combines her influences of 70s folk, 90s rock, 2000s pop all in one hit. Not to mention learning from her influences of Taylor Swift, Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morriesette, Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch, R.E.M ..and the list goes on.
On August 19 2023, Paris released her very first EP "Catharsis
" with four of her original songs. She describes it as the complexities of being a young adult - rediscovering lost mistakes, having a teenage crush, the memory of being used, the angst of having not alot of experience in the wide world, and finding out the truth in many interesting circumstances. "It was honestly a confessional singer-songwriter album. The deep in thoughts, melancholy, dreamy, teenage angst and lost mistakes all written down cathartically. My genre for the album ranges from soft rock, folk, rock, and pop".
